What if the utopia collapse?
We no longer live in a purely physical world; we live in a mediated society -a branded city ruled by capitalism where censorship is applied, colonizing consumer decisions. Advertisements blend into our daily life unconsciously interlacing with society, politics, and culture where it’s commonly being perfectly packaged and deflated to the community. But what happens if we unleash and uncover the truth behind the brand?
‘UNSILENCED VOICES’ is a campaign that responds to censorship from capitalism in the branded space of Piccadilly Circus. Providing an equity-mediated space that co-exists both the visual and physical worlds. Collective experience from people is projected on holograms around the existing infrastructure to empower individuals to stand up for their basic human rights. Provoke awareness of the slave trade, ethical globalization, and racial discrimination. Uncover the story of a brand that is being wrapped by the company flawlessly. The consumer could immerse themselves in the hologram projection crafted by the workers anonymously. Most hashtagged posts will be projected out on Piccadilly Light from Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain. Which provides a space to reveal the hidden truth behind each brand, spreading awareness of ethical globalization. Unite for what is right, ethical globalization is for everyone.
