An interactive tram shelter

The desire to reinvest a tram station and transform it into a medium of creation for the common person manifested itself in a concern to give the public a social space, originally devoid of fantasy and associated with waiting and boredom, and transfigure it through a subversive intervention, triggering a reaction and confronting it perpetually while dealing with the ephemeral.

The message, politicized, poetic or purely visual, embodies the identity of the makers of images, of the pendular traveler declaring his love, of the teenager revolted by a contemporary injustice, of the children tired of playing hide and seek, of the band of intoxicated friends, of the old morning woman wishing peace and parity. Like a fair appropriation of the street, the degree of constraint of the intervention is studied in order to leave the field sufficiently free for expression while contextualizing and setting an affirmed framework for plastic communication.

Descriptions

Technical Concept : The modules making up the twelve panels are composed of prisms enclosed in a grid of 12 x 17 boxes. They are sized for their gripping properties. The side panel modules pivot on their vertical axis, in order to diffract the light emitted from LEDs directly on the panels usually dedicated to advertisements. The central panels are made up of prisms rotating on their horizontal axis, in order to project messages on the ground. The lighting techniques are carefully camouflaged in the grids enclosing the elements of expression.

Visual Concept : The plurality of the response, in particular the use of light and color by the principle of additive synthesis but also of diffraction through prisms, all put into practice in the most playful way, coupled with the ability to transmit text messages, makes it possible to respond to a desire for free expression in the public space with a great number of possible combinations.
